The ADR Vietnam Chambers Quarter III/2026 Newsletter highlights the key activities of ADR Vietnam Chambers and notable developments in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in Vietnam and internationally from July to September 2026.
The Quarter III/2026 Newsletter features the following highlights:
- Advancing institutional cooperation, with VIFCA signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Vietnam Business Lawyers Club (VBLC) and holding a working meeting with the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in Hanoi;
- Active engagement in professional activities and policy development, including Mr Nguyen Manh Dzung’s participation as a speaker at Singapore Convention Week 2026, his involvement in the IBA Task Force on arbitrator nationality, and his participation in consultations and training programmes on legal reform and dispute resolution in international financial centres;
- Strengthening training cooperation and professional exchange, through collaboration with VIAC to organise webinars under the VAS Crossover 2026 series, covering four specialised arbitration topics: (i) construction; (ii) M&A and financial arbitration; (iii) maritime arbitration; and (iv) international trade arbitration and the CISG;
- Promoting academic research, with two publications examining challenges to arbitrators in international commercial arbitration and the role of tribunal secretaries, contributing to fair, efficient and professional arbitral practice;
- Maintaining an active arbitration practice, with Arbitrator Nguyen Manh Dzung handling 13 ongoing arbitration cases, concluding two cases and receiving four new appointments during Quarter III/2026.
